The Partnership's Workforce Development Work Group scored a recent victory in securing funding to support workforce development activities in the San Joaquin Valley. In collaboration with the Workforce Development Board of Madera County and the Mission Economic Development Agency (San Francisco), the Office of Community and Economic Development at Fresno State (Partnership's Secretariat) received a $129,428 investment from the California Workforce Development Board and the Employment Development Department as part of recent Workforce Accelerator Fund 6.0 grant awards. Funds will support the implementation of the "Comprehensive Literacy Activities Supporting Success (CLASS) Innovation Impact" project which will deliver digital and financial literacy training activities to job seekers in Madera County. The 18-month project began March 1, 2018 and will continue through August 31, 2019.
