Notes from Ish

After almost 10 years of service to Fresno State and the San Joaquin Valley, I share with all of you that September 6^th will be my last day as Executive Director of OCED. I will officially be joining the team at California Forward on September 9^th as the inaugural Director of Regional Stewardship. The good news is that this transition is not a goodbye. I will have the opportunity through my new role to continue and build upon my collaboration with many of you here in the San Joaquin Valley. With that said, my colleague, Eduardo Gonzalez will be leading OCED beginning September 9^th as the Interim Executive Director. You are in good hands with Eduardo! Many of the activities highlighted in this month’s newsletter edition have his fingerprints on them. He is also a good scout of talent, as is evident through his recruitment of this month’s featured staff member.

It’s been an absolute honor and privilege to serve and work with all of you over the years through my capacity at Fresno State. I look forward to the next chapter of our collaborative efforts.
