Staff Spotlight: Alex Garduno

 

Alex Garduno is in his last semester at Fresno State, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a minor in Business Finance. Alex Joined OCED team in May of 2019 as Project Intern for the San Joaquin Rural Development Center and the Fresno State Small Business University. Alex was born and raised in Fresno, CA and has relished the opportunity to contribute to his community through his work at OCED.

Who inspires you?

My Grandfather has always been my biggest inspiration. He always pushed me to pursue my dreams, to get an education, and that there is always a reason to smile!

What's your favorite local meal?

My favorite local meals include Pasta from The Annex Kitchen, Taco’s from a multitude of Taco Trucks, and last but not least a Tri-Tip Sandwich and Fries from Dog House Grill.

What’s something you want to do in the next year that you’ve never done before?

In the next year I want to travel throughout Europe. It has always been a dream of mine to explore and experience the different cultures and aspects of the world. Europe has always been a region that has always enchanted me and I would love to experience it first hand in the next year.
