Fresno Bee runs OCED's Interim Executive Director's article on the Digital Divide in the Central Valley 

 

Eduardo Gonzalez's article was published by the Fresno Bee this month! The article discusses how low-income, underserved Central Valley residents need internet access.

 

The digital divide in our communities is emphasized throughout the article. With the COVID-19 crisis it has become more apparent that many low-income households lack the understanding of affordable high-speed Internet options. 

 

The lack of internet access and digital literacy among rural communities in the San Joaquin Valley has created a demand for internet and digital inclusion training. OCED and partners have prioritized getting rural communities online to raise people out of poverty and build strong local economies.
