Fresno State Connect Initiative attended the Fresno Unified Parent University Career and College Symposium. At this event, families received information about college admission, financial aid, and FAFSA completion. The Connect Initiative provided information about low-cost internet services that are available to community members. Low-cost internet is an invaluable resource for students and families who are applying to college, as applications and financial aid are often completed online.
November 16th, 2019
At this month’s Mexican Consulate Health Fair, Fresno State Connect Initiative Staff hosted an informational booth. The Mexican Consulate Health Fair partners with local government agencies and community-based organizations that offer health screening and education activities and services. Representatives provided information on how communities throughout the San Joaquin Valley can be connected to low-cost internet services as well as receive free Chromebook computers.
