OCED Collaborates with the City of McFarland Chamber of Commerce for Annual Award Gala

On October 22, 2019, the Office of Community and Economic Development collaborated with the City of McFarland and the McFarland Chamber of Commerce to host their Evening with the Stars Annual Award Gala. This event hosted over 40 local business owners and supporters. The evening began with a warm welcome from the chamber's chief and vice presidents. The keynote speaker, Out of the Fields author and Pediatrician Dr. Ramon Resa, gave a heartwarming motivational message. The awards were presented by the chamber members to businesses and local leaders who actively support the importance of local business in the community. Following the ceremony were OCED small Business Resource partners Consulado de Mexico (Consulate of Mexico), and Access Plus Capital (Bakersfield office) who provided helpful information to business owners. Attendees were able to enjoy a night filled with raffle prizes, presenters and networking.
