Finish in Four
A. A Freshman can join the Finish in Four program during their first semester of attendance at Fresno State. The deadline is the day before Census.
A. As a participant in the Finish in Four program you will have the benefit of :
- Highest-level priority registration
- Personalized academic plan
- Specialized advising each semester to ensure you stay on track
A. No, there are no extra fees associated with participation in the Finish in Four Program.
A. You must have a declared major to qualify for the Finish in Four and Through in Two Program.
A. Yes, but only if the new major can still be completed by the original four year graduation date. Changing majors may increase the required unit load and may put you at risk of being removed from the program.
A. This may or may not be possible. It will depend on the total units required to complete all your major(s) and/or minor(s). Some combinations may be possible to complete within the four years, while others are not. Adding a second major will increase your total unit load and could put you at risk of being removed from the program. You must discuss this with your designated Finish in Four advisor.
A. Fresno State will not penalize you for failing to meet the requirements of the Finish in Four Program. You may opt out of the program at any time. Please let your advisor know prior to opting out of the program. You will, however, lose all benefits associated with the program (priority registration, etc.).
A. Yes! Fresno State provides advising to all students looking to follow a four year degree path. The Finish in Four Program provides additional support and incentives to help students meet their graduation in four years.
All majors on campus have a "roadmap" or plan for completing your degree in four years. Make an appointment with the Advising Center in the college of your major to create a plan, or check the online Fresno State catalog. If you have not declared a major, contact the University Advising Center.
Through in Two
A. This program is designed for incoming first-semester Associate’s Degrees for Transfer
(ADT) students during their first semester of attendance at Fresno State. The pledge deadline is
the day before Census.
A. Eligible students with a confirmed ADT will receive an invitation to complete the formal Two-Year Promise application during their first semester of attendance at Fresno State.
A. As a participant in the Through in Two Program you will have the benefit of:
- Highest-level priority registration
- Personalized academic plan
- Specialized advising each semester to ensure you stay on track
A. No, there are no extra fees or tuition costs associated with participation in the Through in Two Program.
A. Part of the Through in Two Program pledge includes a willingness to be flexible with course scheduling, take semester unit loads as necessary to finish all requirements within two years (including the possibility of summer session courses), and agree to follow your Through in Two Program Degree Plan. Some students may be able to manage a part-time job, but the primary focus is on completing all requirements to graduate within the allotted two years.
A. No, changing majors will disqualify you from the ADT program and from the Through in Two Program.
A. No, adding a minor or a double major will disqualify students from the ADT program and from the Through in Two Program.
