The meeting was called to order by Chair Popma at 9:05 a.m. in Thomas #117.

  1. Minutes. MSC to amend the Minutes of 10/27/11.

  2. Agenda. MSC to approve the Agenda as distributed.

  3. Communications and Announcements.

    Policy on Faculty Personnel Files was approved by the Senate on Nov. 7, 2011.

    The Personnel Committee meeting on Dec. 1, 2011 is canceled. The Committee will meet on Dec. 8, 2011 in Madden Library, room 1222 (1st floor, south wing).

  4. Review APM 327 (Policy on Promotion) – additional criteria for promotion to full professor.

    Finished review, MSC to send to Senate Executive Committee.

  5. APM 332 (Policy on Range Elevation for Temporary Faculty).

    T. Wendt reported on a meeting of other CSU AVPs. Other CSU campuses are revising their policies relating to range elevation for lecturers. He distributed seven policies from other campuses for our edification.

    T. Wendt to rework section II of APM 332 and send to the Committee.

  6. APM 307 (Policy on Part-time Temporary Faculty).

    Discussion postponed.
