Members Present: R. Perry (Chair), N. Bengiamin, D. Hansen, D. Kemp, S. Kotkin–Jaszi, Y. Oheneba–Sakyi, M. Wilson.

Members Absent: J. Daughtry (excused).

Visitors: None.

The meeting was called to order by Chair R. Perry at 10:05 a.m. in McLane # 193.

  1. Minutes. MSC to approve the Minutes of 9/27/2007 as amended to show Y. Oheneba–Sakyi as excused, (the minutes listed his absence as unexcused), and M. Nogin is not appointed to the committee, so should be listed as a visitor.

  2. Agenda. MSC to approve the Agenda as distributed.

  3. Communications & Announcements.

    Welcome to the student representative Kaydee Kildow and we look forward to working with her. M. Wilson copied Institutional Research data that will be retained for the committee’s reference if so needed.

    D. Hansen is congratulated for receiving tenure and promotion.

    D. Hansen is thanked for preparing the Plant Science review summary.

    R. Perry will be absent for the October 18 meeting.

  4. Old Business – Plant Science Review.

    The review was begun. The Student Outcome Assessment Program (SOAP) was absent from the materials submitted to the committee, so that will have to be added for the committee to complete review.

  5. New Business.

    No new business.

The next scheduled meeting of the Undergraduate Academic Program Review Subcommittee will be Thursday, October 18, 2007 in McLane Hall Room 193.
