The meeting was called to order by Chair Putirka, at 2:10 p.m. in TA #117.

  1. MSC to approve the Minutes of 4/24/2007.
  2. MSC to approve the Agenda as distributed.
  3. Communications and Announcements.
  4. Program Change Forms.
    Digital Media Option – Tabled, requires approval for MSJ 30.
    Media Arts Interdisciplinary Minor – Tabled, requires approval for MCJ 30.
    Computer Information Systems (adding “Computer” to title; 3 forms, plus 1
    response) – Tabled, Information Systems (IS) will be given the opportunity
    to respond to concerns raised by Computer Science.
    Certificate in Business Information Systems – MSC to approve.
    Certificate in Network Administration – MSC to approve.
  5. New Course Proposals.
    GD 132 Graphic Design for Media Arts (waiting) –
    Tabled more detailed syllabus.
    MCJ 30 Introduction to Multimedia Production – Appears to have been
    formally approved in spring 2007. (Need to check).
    MUSIC 147 Digital Music Production – MSC to conditionally approve.
    SOC 183 Philanthropy and Grant Making – MSC to approve.
    SOC 184 Grant Writing and Evaluation – Tabled, are both SOC 183
    and 184 needed?
    CDDS 125 Audiometry and Audiology for School Nurses –
    MSC to conditionally approve.
    GEOL 50 National parks of the Sierra Nevada – Tabled, GEOL will
    speak with RLS.
