A meeting of the Academic Senate was called to order by Chair Botwin at 4:05 p.m. in the University Center, Room #200.

  1. Minutes. MSC to approve the Minutes of 11/3/08.
  2. Agenda. MSC to approve the Agenda.
  3. Communications and Announcements.
    There were no communications and announcements.
  4. New Business.
    There was no new business.
  5. Area A3 Coordination Subcommittee – General Education
    Committee - Continued.
    The Academic Senate discussed the Area A3 Coordination
    Subcommittee, as a result of the discussion the following motion
    was passed:
    MSC to waive second reading.
    MSC to approve the discontinuation of the Area A3
    Coordination Subcommittee and forward to the
    President for approval.
  6. Interim Policy on Allocation of Instructional Administrative
    Positions (APM 355) – University Budget Committee.
    The Academic Senate discussed the Interim Policy on Allocation of
    Instructional Administrative Positions (APM 355), as a result of the
    discussion the following motion was passed:
    MSC to waive second reading.
    MSC to approve the removal of the Interim Policy on
    Allocation of Instructional Administrative
    Positions (APM 355) from the Academic Policy
    Manual and forward to the President for approval.

MSC to adjourn at 4:17 p.m.

The next scheduled meeting of the Academic Senate will be announced.
An Agenda will be distributed prior to the meeting.
