Members Present: B. Tsukimura (Chair), M. Darling, J. Farrar, D. Harris,
J. Olson-Buchanan, P. Popma, H. Shen, B. Sodini (student).

Members Absent: J. Redd-Williams (excused).

The meeting was called to order by Chair B. Tsukimura at 9:10 a.m. in the University
Center # 203.

  1. Minutes. MSC to approve the Minutes of 3/5/2009.
  2. Agenda. MSC to approve the Agenda as distributed.
  3. Communications and Announcements.
    1. New student member Brett Sodini was introduced.
    2. Henry Madden Library Articles of Governance was received from
      Executive Committee and distributed to members.
    3. (APM 322) Policy on Assessment of Teaching Effectiveness was sent from
      Executive Committee to Academic Policy & Planning Committee, Student
      Affairs Committee, Graduate Committee, and University Budget
      Committee with a deadline of 4/13/2009.
    4. April 13, 2009 is the last date to get items to the Executive Committee for
      the Academic Senate agenda.
    5. The Policy and Procedures for Fingerprinting and Conducting
      Background Checks was approved as an interim policy August 25, 2006.
  4. Lyles College of Engineering Articles of Governance.
    MSC to approve the Lyles College of Engineering Articles of
    Governance and forward to the Executive Committee.
  5. Policy and Procedures for Fingerprinting and Conducting Background
    Checks.
    Postponed.

MSC to adjourn at 10:30 a.m.

The next scheduled meeting of the Personnel Committee will be on Thursday, March
26, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. in the University Center #203.
