The meeting was called to order by Chair B. Tsukimura at 9:10 a.m. in the
University Center # 203.
- Minutes. MSC to amend the Minutes of 9/11/08 as follows:
- P. Popma – absent (excused).
- #4. Delete “regarding NCAA rules and regulations.”
- #5. Insert after Discussion of APM 309 - “Athletics has offered amendments as part of their NCAA accreditation review.”
- Agenda. MSC to approve the Agenda as amended to show:
- Insert after Communications & Announcements a new item #4 -“Short discussion of APM 330.”
- Renumber subsequent agenda items accordingly.
- Communications and Announcements.
Letters were sent to all appointees to the Five Year Review Committees. - APM 330 - Policy on Market Salary Increases.
Discussed a minor revision. A revised copy is returning to the Senate Executive Committee. - APM 309 – Policy on Coaches.
Discussed revisions to this policy. J. Redd-Williams to check the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and bring the revised version of the policy back to the committee at its next meeting. - APM 322 – Policy on Teaching Effectiveness.
Postponed. - Policy and Procedures for Fingerprinting and Conducting Background checks.
Postponed.
MSC to adjourn, 10:55 a.m.
