The meeting was called to order by Chair B. Tsukimura at 9:10 a.m. in the
University Center # 203.
- Minutes. MSC to approve the Minutes of 9/25/08.
- Agenda. MSC to approve the Agenda as amended to show:
Add a new item #4. “Professional Development
Subcommittee Appointment” and renumber subsequent
agenda items accordingly. - Communications and Announcements.
- (APM 330) Policy on Market Salary Increases was passed by the
Executive Committee and forwarded to the Senate. - Full professors at or above SSI maximum will be eligible for post-
promotion increases. Program details will be announced soon. - President J. Welty approved (APM 361) Policy on Faculty Leaves of
Absence. - Associate Professor Equity Increases — Funds contingent on
California’s 2008-2009 Budget.
- (APM 330) Policy on Market Salary Increases was passed by the
- Professional Development Subcommittee Appointment.
The committee went into Executive Session at 9:20 a.m.
MSC to appoint Bill Bommer to the Professional Development
Subcommittee. - (APM 309) Policy on Coaches.
MSC to approve (APM 309) Policy on Coaches and forward to the
Executive Committee. - (APM 322) Policy on the Assessment of Teaching Effectiveness.
Discussion. - Policy and Procedures for Fingerprinting and Conducting Background
checks.
Postponed.
MSC to adjourn, 10:55 a.m.
