Members Present: B. Tsukimura (Chair), M. Darling, J. Farrar, D. Harris, J. Olson-Buchanan, P. Popma, J. Redd-Williams.

Members Absent: H. Shen (excused).

The meeting was called to order by Chair B. Tsukimura at 9:20 a.m. in the University Center # 203.

  1. Minutes. MSC to amend the Minutes of 10/2/08 as follows:
    3.b. – Change to “Full professors at or above SSI maximum will be eligible for post-promotion increases. Program details will be announced soon.”
  2. Agenda. MSC to approve the Agenda as distributed.
  3. Communications and Announcements.
    1. IDEA Center rating system focus groups are scheduled on October 29, 2008 and November 20, 2008 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Satellite Student Union.
    2. Food Drive – Remember to bring items.
  4. (APM 322) – Policy on Teaching Effectiveness.
    Discussed.
  5. Policy and Procedures for Fingerprinting and Conducting Background Checks.
    Postponed.
