The meeting was called to order by Chair A. Lawson at 11:05 p.m. in University Center #202.

  1. Minutes. MSC to approve the Minutes of 5/1/09.

  2. Agenda. MSC to approve the agenda as distributed.

  3. Communications and Announcements. - none

  4. General Education (GE) Learning Outcomes.

    Suggested edits from the Executive Committee will be sent to the GE learning outcomes task force members for input.

  5. GE Assessment Plan.

    Discussion of proposed assessment plan.

  6. GE Moratorium.

    MSC to lift moratorium when GE student learning outcomes are approved by the Academic Senate.

MSC to adjourn at 12:30 p.m.

The next scheduled meeting of the General Education Committee will be October 30, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Thomas Administration #117.

Meeting dates for the remainder of the semester will be, November 6, November 20, and December 4, 2009.
