Communications and Announcements.
- Dean K. Carey reported that work had begun on the Annual Research Symposium scheduled to be held this year on May 6, 2009. She reported there would not be a keynote speaker this year and there would be a reception similar to last year. She is trying to get the details worked out so that a formal notice can be sent in the near future so that faculty can include it on their syllabi so that more students can attend. She will keep us up-to-date as planning continues.
- Chair T. Skeen noted that the Senate Executive committee was in receipt of the report on Graduate Culture and would be reviewing it at the next Executive Committee meeting on Monday, October 12, 2009. It should go to the full senate soon thereafter.
