The meeting was called to order by Chair Tsukimura at 9:10 a.m. in TA #117.

  1. Minutes. MSC to approve the Minutes of 2/25/2010.

  2. Agenda. MSC to approve the Agenda as distributed.

  3. Communications and Announcements.

    1. Work-Life Friendly Policies are being examined by MBA students in Human Resources (HR). Recommendation will be provided by the end of the semester.
    2. Policy On Assessment of Teaching Effectiveness (APM 322) is still in the first reading on the Academic Senate floor.

  4. Sample Probationary Plan (APM 324A) – Postponed.

  5. Policy on Faculty Leaves of Absence (APM 361) – Postponed.

  6. Interim Policy and Procedures for Fingerprinting and Conducting Background Checks (APM 315) – Postponed.

MSC to adjourn at 10:30 a.m.

The next scheduled meeting of the Personnel Committee is Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in Thomas Administration, Room #117. The entire committee membership may be reached at the e-mail alias “perscom”.
