Members Present: B. Tsukimura (Chair), M. Darling, D. Harris, P. Popma, J. Redd-Williams.

Members Absent: J. Olson-Buchanan (excused), H. Shen (excused).

The meeting was called to order by Chair Tsukimura at 9:10 a.m. in TA #117.

  1. Minutes. MSC to approve the Minutes of 4/29/10 as amended to change the last word in item 3.D. from Resources to Personnel.

  2. Agenda. MSC to approve the Agenda as distributed.

  3. Communications and Announcements.

    The Committee discussed the Policy on Assessment of Teaching Effectiveness (APM 322).

  4. Election of Chair.

    Committee member Paula Popma (Library), was elected as Chair of the Personnel Committee for the Academic Year 2010/2011.

  5. Sample Probationary Plan (APM 324A) - Postponed.

  6. Interim Policy and Procedures for Fingerprinting and Conducting Background Checks (APM 315) - Postponed.

MSC to adjourn at 10:20 a.m.

The next scheduled meeting of the Personnel Committee will be in the Fall Semester.
