The meeting was called to order by Chair B. Tsukimura at 9:10 a.m. in Thomas Administration #117.

Minutes. MSC to approve the Minutes of 4/30/2009.

Agenda. MSC to approve the Agenda as distributed.

Communications and Announcements.
- Need to select two full-time tenured faculty from the Academic Senate to serve on a 5 year review for Cynthia Teniente-Matson, Vice President for Administration and Chief Financial Officer.
- Need to select two full-time tenured faculty from the Academic Senate to serve on a 5 year review for Peter Smits, Vice President of Advancement.
- Received revision of the College of Health & Human Services Articles of Governance from Chair M. Botwin of the Executive Committee.
- J. Farrar has resigned from the Personnel Committee.
- (APM 322) Policy on Assessment of Teaching Effectiveness is still in the Academic Senate Executive Committee awaiting placement onto Faculty Senate Agenda.

Faculty Furloughs.
Discussed the difficulties in scheduling furlough days. Chair B. Tsukimura will propose a meeting schedule to the committee. The committee will decide at the September 10, 2009 meeting.

Discussion postponed.
