The meeting was called to order by Chair B. Tsukimura at 9:00 a.m. in Thomas Administration #117.

  1. Minutes. MSC to approve the Minutes of 11/4/2009.

  2. Agenda. MSC to approve the Agenda as amended to show:

    Add item # 5. (APM 324A) Sample Probationary Plan and renumber subsequent items accordingly.

  3. M. Botwin, Academic Senate Chair – Time Certain 9:00 a.m.

    Discussion of (APM 322) Policy on the Assessment of Teaching Effectiveness. Chair M. Botwin will have the amended version of (APM 322) Policy on the Assessment of Teaching Effectiveness to the Personnel Committee for review by December 3, 2009.

  4. Communications and Announcements.

    (APM 325) Policy on Retention and Tenure – Friendly amendments were made from the Academic Senate.

  5. (APM 324A) Sample Probationary Plan.

    Discussed.

  6. (APM 361) Policy on Faculty Leaves of Absence.

    Discussed.

MSC to adjourn at 10:30 a.m.
