The meeting was called to order by Chair Popma at 9:00 a.m. in Thomas #117.
1. Minutes. MSC to approve the Minutes of 2/24/11.
2. Agenda. MSC to approve the Agenda to show:
Add Communications and Announcements as item #3.
3. Communications and Announcements.
APM 322, Policy on the Assessment of Teaching Effectiveness was approved by
President Welty on 1/20/11.
Monday, April 11 is the deadline for new business to be sent to the Senate
Executive Committee.
T. Wendt will attend the next Senate meeting scheduled for March 21, 2011, as
Chair Popma will be out of town. APM 315, Policy on Fingerprinting and
Background Checks will be on the agenda.
Discussion continued on APM 315 at the March 7, 2011 Senate meeting.
4. Finish review of APM 325, Policy on Retention and Tenure.
Review of this policy was completed. Also, reviewed APM 327, Policy on
Promotion one more time to align wording with APM 325. T. Wendt will send
untracked versions of APM 325 and APM 327 to committee members for one
final review.
5. Finalize memo on APM 324, 325, and 327.
Postponed.
