The meeting was called to order by Chair Popma at 9:05 a.m. in Thomas #117.
1. Minutes. MSC to amend the Minutes of 4/14/11.
2. Agenda. MSC to approve the Agenda as distributed.
3. Communications and Announcements.
At its April 25 meeting, the Senate Executive Committee agreed to forward APMs 324, 325 and 327 on to the Senate.
At its April 25 meeting, the Senate discussed the document “Creating a Departmental Policy on Assessment of Teaching Effectiveness”.
4. Update on APM 357 (Policy on CSALT)
At its April 25 meeting, the Senate returned APM 357 to the Faculty Development Subcommittee for further revision.
5. Committee Chair for 2011/12
Paula Popma will be the chair in 2011/2012.
6. May 5 Meeting
The Committee will not meet May 5, 2011.
7. Annual Report for 2010/2011 – Goals for 2011/2012
The Committee developed a rather lengthy list of goals for 2011/2012.
Chair Popma will write the annual report for 2010/2011.
8. APS Calendar for 2011/2012
T. Wendt will put together the APS calendar over the summer.
