Members Present: P. Popma (Chair), J. Olson-Buchanan, N.P. Mahalik, J. Redd-Williams.
Members Absent: None.
The meeting was called to order by Chair Popma at 9:05 a.m. in TA #117.
1. Minutes. MSC to approve the Minutes of 9/9/10.
2. Agenda. MSC to approve the Agenda as distributed.
3. Communications and Announcements.
A. Chair Popma will contact UBORT member James Farrar to invite him to a Personnel
Committee for a discussion or the RTP process.
B. Chair Popma communicated that the Academic Senate is still debating APM 322.
C. AVPAP Redd-Williams mentioned that September paycheck will not be affected by furlough-take.
4. Ad Hoc Committee Report Regarding Investigation of Student Rating of Faculty instruments.
The committee continued discussion on the Ad Hoc Committee Report Regarding Investigation of Student Rating of Faculty Instruments. Based on the review and discussion, Chair Popma will write a draft recommendation and forward to the members for further suggestions and amendments (if any). Finalization will be made in the next meeting.
5. Interim Policy and Procedures for Fingerprinting and Conducting Background Check (APM315)
Discussion about the Interim Policy and Procedures for Fingerprinting and Conducting Background Check will continue in the next meeting.
6. RTP Process - Discussion postponed.
MSC to adjourn at 11:00 a.m.
The next scheduled meeting of the Personnel Committee will be on Thursday, September 30, 2010, in Thomas #117. The entire committee membership may be reached at the e-mail alias “perscom”.
