We are overjoyed to invite you to the 49th Annual Chicano/Latino Commencement Celebration (CLCC)—an extraordinary event dedicated to honoring your perseverance, achievements, and
the rich cultural legacy you carry forward. Join us on May 17, 2025, at the Save Mart Center as we come together to celebrate this incredible milestone in your journey.
This celebration is more than a ceremony; it is a heartfelt tribute to your hard work,
a testament to the power of community, and a moment to recognize the bright future
ahead. You are part of a vibrant and resilient community, and this day is dedicated
to YOU.
The Chicano/Latino Commencement Celebration is voluntary and is open to all graduating
students who would like to participate, regardless of race, sex, color, ethnicity
or national origin.To ensure this event remains meaningful and inclusive, priority
participation will be given to graduates who completed their degrees in Summer/Fall 2024 or will fulfill their degree requirements in Spring 2025. If you wish to “walk” without completing your degree, we encourage you to join the
waiting list. Space permitting, you may have the chance to participate. For detailed

2025.
CLCC is open and available to all who are interested to register and participate,
regardless of race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin.

Registration:
CLCC Registration is $45.00 and includes one (1) complimentary sash representing a
national heritage selected during the registration process.
- Optional items for students to purchase:
- Commemorative CLCC Medal: $15.00
- Additional Heritage Sash: $12.00 (The heritage for this additional sash can be selected during the registration process)
The CLCC Registration fee covers the costs associated with the celebration (use of
the Save Mart Center, programs, SMC security and staff, etc.).
A student's Degree Application fee is separate from the CLCC registration fee.
Each student will receive one (1) complimentary heritage sash included with the registration
fee. Students have the option to purchase an additional sash. Students will select
the national heritage of their choosing when registering.
The sash will be distributed to students before the celebration. Details are shared
by email to all participating students or can be located here: Important Dates
Please Note: We can only guarantee a sash from a Latin American country, Hispanic Carribbean countries,
Spain, and USA.
One practice session is scheduled for CLCC participants on the Thursday prior to the
celebration. Graduates who have registered and will be participating should plan to
attend.
If there is a conflict with your final exam schedule, attempt to stop by after your
exam(s). If you have friends/peers attending, we encourage you check-in with them
for details.
- Due to the size of the celebration, there is a particular format/logistic to the procession.
This will allow for us to have time to honor your your parent (s). If the procession
takes too long, we will have to eliminate this essential element. Rehearsal is essential
for students to walkthrough the processions an receive further details prior to attending
the celebratio
