Biohazard Use Application
The Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) provides institutional review of research
involving biohazardous material, including recombinant DNA, pathogenic agents, and transgenic plants and animals.The main purpose of IBC is to reduce the risk of potential occupational exposure and environmental harm from
the use of biohazardous materials in research and teaching at California State University,
Fresno. Thus, IBC is responsible for the establishment, monitoring and enforcement
of policies and guidelines for use of biohazardous materials as set forth by NIH guidelines.
