CSU Student Research Competition

The 38th Annual California State University (CSU) Student Research Competition was hosted in-person on April 26-27, 2024, by Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. The event featured undergraduate and graduate research, scholarship, and creative works from all disciplines. The following students were selected by the Fresno State's Student Research Comeptition sub-commitee and made oral presentations judged by discipline experts from corporations, foundations, public agencies and universities throughout California.

*All travel expenses were provided through funding provided by ASI and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs

Fresno State was well represented at the 37th Annual CSU Student Research Competition, hosted April 28-29, 2023 by San Diego State. Congratulations to all of Fresno State's amazing presenters, including Jose Maldonado (faculty mentor: Selena Van Horn), who took home first-place honors for his presentation, "Fostering Familismo: Creating Community to Support Transfer Students." Undergraduate or graduate students currently enrolled at any CSU campus and alumni/alumnae who received their degrees in spring, summer or fall 2024 are eligible. The research presented
should be appropriate to the student’s discipline and career goals. Proprietary research is excluded.

Each CSU campus appoints a campus coordinator and develops its own procedures for selecting
student delegates to the systemwide competition. Interested students should contact their campus
coordinator for more information. Only those students endorsed by the campus coordinator can
enter the systemwide competition.
