Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity Awards

CLICK HERE TO APPLY FOR RSCA FUNDING!

The 2025-26 Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity (RSCA) award cycle is now open! Apply via InfoReady for these funding programs, which are offered by both the Office of the Chancellor and Fresno State’s Provost’s Office.

The Chancellor's Office Transdisciplinary Research, Scholarly, and Creative Activities Awards provide five $25,000 awards for interdisciplinary research, scholarship, and creative activities. Projects should directly address the Evaluation Rubric criteria, though proposals with exceptional merit that do not meet every criterion may still be considered.

The Provost-RSCA Awards provide multiple award options, including:

Impact Grants: 10-12 awards of up to $15,000 each
WTU/Stipend Grants: 40-50 awards offering either 3 WTUs of assigned time (academic year, full backfill valued at $7,465, with justification) OR a $5,000 summer stipend
Micro-Grants: 20 small awards of up to $2,500 each

Faculty are encouraged to use the activities and results from these awards to pursue external funding and broaden the scope of their research, scholarship and creative activities. Applications close at 5 p.m. on March 14. Contact your department for more information.
