Other Funding Opportunities
USDA: Conservation Innovation Grants: The CIG program stimulates the development and adoption of innovative conservation
approaches and technologies in conjunction with agricultural production. CIG projects
are expected to lead to the transfer of conservation technologies, management systems,
and innovative approaches (such as market-based systems) to agricultural producers
through the development of technical manuals, guides, and for practical instruction
for the private sector. Proposals are due by July 27, 2026.
Simons Foundation: Synthetic Plant Biology: The Synthetic Plant Biology program is intended to support research that applies engineering principles and techniques to advance our understanding of how plants function. These projects can tackle a variety of goals, including the development of sensors to study plant physiological responses, the engineering of plants capable of withstanding inhospitable environments, genetic modifications that reveal the trade-offs inherent in plant growth and development, and many others. Proposals are due by July 30, 2026.
NIH: Instrumentation Grant Program for Resource-Limited Institutions (S10): This program supports the purchase of state-of-the-art scientific instruments to enhance the research and educational missions of resource-limited institutions. Requested instruments may support biomedical research and education in basic, translational, biomedically-related behavioral or clinical fields. Standard NIH dates through January 2029.
NIH: Research Enhancement Award Program (REAP) for Health Professional Schools and Graduate Schools (R15): This program aims to support small scale research grants at institutions that do not receive substantial funding from the NIH, with an emphasis on providing biomedical research experiences primarily for health professional, undergraduate and graduate students and enhancing the research environment at applicant institutions. Standard NIH dates through late 2027.
NVIDIA: Academic Grant Program: The NVIDIA Academic Grant Program advances academic research by providing world-class computing access and resources to researchers. NVIDIA is requesting proposals from academic researchers who are working in the following subject areas: (1) Simulation and Modeling, (2) AI Training and Model Development, and (3) AI Inference, Agents, and Systems Software. Rolling with quarterly deadlines.
