Join the SuRE Resource Center's free two-day grantsmanship training for faculty and research administrative staff leading up to the SuRE and SuRE-First R16 grant application deadline. Presenters will focus on key elements of R16 grants and discuss strategies to help you prepare a competitive R16 grant application.

Topics include: Specific Aims, Significance, Approach, Data Management and Sharing Policy, Biosketch, Institutional Letters, and issues regarding Renewals and Resubmissions.
The College of Science and Mathematics invites you to a Broader Impacts Training Workshop. This dynamic and interactive workshop is designed to equip faculty with the tools and strategies necessary to develop effective Broader Impacts (BI) plans and enhance your knowledge and skills in this area.
Broader Impacts are the potential of a project to benefit society or advance desired societal outcomes.
The workshop will be led by Dr. Julie Risien from Oregon State University, who is also a co-principal investigator for Advancing Research Impacts in Society (ARIS).
USDA Agencies, the Farm Service Agency (FSA), the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Rural Development (RD), and the Office of Partnerships & Public Engagement (OPPE) will host a USDA Programs 101 in-person information session. USDA FSA, NRCS, and RD leadership will provide farmers, ranchers, and rural community representatives with a breakdown of programs and resources that are available at their respective agencies.
The event includes one-on-one talks with USDA technical advisors to guide farmers, ranchers, and rural community representatives on the necessary requirements to:
- Submit an application for shared programs and resources.
- Discuss the supporting documents that are needed prior to visiting a USDA Center.
This event will also serve as an opportunity for USDA leaders to listen to and understand the support community stakeholders need.

ORCID Workshop for Researchers
Getting and using your free ORCID iD and ORCID record can help you save time and get credit for your work in funding, publishing, and research reporting workflows. Funding organizations, publishers, and research institutions are increasingly requiring or asking for ORCID iDs from researchers, so this workshop will help you make sure you are ahead of the game.

No prior experience with ORCID necessary. The session recording will be sent to all who register.
The Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program is a foundation-wide activity that offers the NSF’s most prestigious awards in support of early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization. Activities pursued by early-career faculty should build a firm foundation for a lifetime of leadership in integrating education and research.
