There are many ways to be part of sustainability on and off-campus! If you have any suggestion for making campus more sustainable or any inquires about efforts on campus relating to sustainability, please fill out the Interest Form down below or email us at sustainabilitytaskforce@mail.fresnostate.edu.
The Fresno State Sustainability Club is a student organization that aims to raise awareness of sustainabililty issues on campus and in the community. Meetings consist of guest speaker presentations, social events, and discussions on issues relating to sustainability on campus. The club also provides many opportunities for students to get involved in volunteering, outreach, and event planning on and off-campus. There are many ways to make your daily routine as a student on campus more environmentally friendly!
- Bring a reusable water bottle to campus, as there are numerous water bottle refill stations on campus that provide clean and filtered water for free!
- Want to reduce your vehicle emissions? FAX buses are free to ride for passengers who provide a Fresno State Student ID!
- Want to reduce food wastage on campus while getting free food? Enable notifications on the Fresno State app and you can receive notifications for leftover food after campus events end!
Course time can be some of the best times to bring attention to opportunities on-campus for your students. This can be done in multiple ways!
- Incorporate sustainability into your course content:
- Sutainability is such a broad topic, which can allow for a multitude of projects and lessons within different discplines. If you would like guidance on incorporating sustainability into your course content, reach out to the task force for assistance. (sustainabilitytaskforce@mail.fresnostate.edu)
- Invite Sustainability Club to your classroom
- Sustainability Club members are dedicated to raising awareness of the idea of sustainability and ways in which students can get involved in sustainability on-campus. Reach out to the club to arrange for a presentation in your class. (fresnostatesustainabilityclub@gmail.com)
