Dining

In order to ensure that Fresno State's food services are environmentally-friendly, Fresno State is taking part in the Real Food Challenge. Using the Real Food Calculator tool, students can identify areas of success and growth in Fresno State's food purchases. The data from the Real Food Challenge will be submitted as part of the university's AASHE STARS report.

Our Commitments

The United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) is a non-binding United Nations pact that encourages companies and organizations to operate under sustainability-oriented policies. Fresno State committed to this compact by creating a Communication of Engagement. To learn more about Fresno State's commitments to this pact, visit the Fresno State UNGC webpage.

Waste

In order to decrease rates of contaminated recycling, Fresno State Sustainability has implemented the use of waste signage of general waste and recycling bins across campus.  Check out campus bin locations here!

In order to divert organic waste from the landfill, Fresno State is implementing organic waste bins accompanied by signage instructing users on where to dispose of their waste.

Water

The water bottle fill stations located around campus were implemented to provide clean water to the campus community, while also reducing the plastic waste produced by single-use water bottles.  Check out this map to find the station nearest you!
