Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs

Dr. Xuanning Fu came to the United States as an international student and has worked at four universities; the last 18 years at Fresno State.  He previously served as associate dean of the College of Social Sciences and dean of Undergraduate Studies before being appointed as vice provost. Dr. Fu was appointed Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs effective July 1, 2022. In his role as the university's chief academic officer, he is committed to empowering California’s Central Valley’s diverse students who will become the leaders of tomorrow.
