Graduate Degree Deadlines
Advancement to Candidacy Filing Deadline
Last day to apply for advancement to candidacy to be eligible for graduation the following term. Advancement must be achieved no
later than one semester prior to the term in which you wish to register for the culminating
experience and/or apply for the degree to be granted.
Spring 2026 Graduation: September 19, 2025
Summer 2026 Graduation: September 19, 2025
Fall 2026 Graduation: February 20, 2026
Graduation Application Period
The online filing period for the graduate degree to be granted is approximately the first two weeks of each semester or summer. A $35.00 non-refundable graduation application fee is required. Graduation application procedures are available on the Division of Graduate Studies website.
Spring 2026 Graduation: January 16 - 30, 2026
Summer 2026 Graduation: May 26 - June 12, 2026
Fall 2026 Graduation: TBA
Final Thesis (299) Submission Deadline
Date by which the final thesis, fully edited and approved, must be submitted to the Dissertation/Thesis Office.
Spring 2026 Graduation: March 27, 2026

Important Document Deadline (Graduation Term)
All outstanding degree-related documents should be submitted to your graduate advisor/department office for processing no later than the last day of instruction. Contact your advisor or department concerning the submission of the required Graduate Degree Clearance form.

Project & Comprehensive Exam
