DISCOVERe Mobile Technology Program

DISCOVERe Device Loaner Program

Many Fresno State students are eligible to receive a DISCOVERe mobile device such as an iPad. Our DISCOVERe program first lends devices to students enrolled in DISCOVERe courses. View a list of all DISCOVERe courses for the current semester.

NOTE: It is important to set a reservation time to pick up or return the device(s). We do not accept walk-in appointments.

FOR STUDENTS:

  • DISCOVERe mobile devices such as iPads will be loaned to students who are enrolled in the current semester.

  • Any surplus of mobile devices will require a student application and will be distributed based on specific criteria and will be returned at the end of the semester.

  • A student may obtain a hotspot for use during the current semester if they are taking six (6) or more units online (virtual instruction) or if they can demonstrate a lack of Wi-Fi service at their place of residence.

FOR FACULTY/STAFF:

  • Priority for loaner iPads or Surface Pros will be given to employees who are not part of the faculty laptop program and/or have not checked out a laptop from the library tech lending program

  • All employees currently have access to on-campus Wi-Fi and are typically not eligible for a hotspot.

You will come to the DISCOVERe Hub (located on the first floor of the Fresno State Library) at your designated time to pick up the device(s). You will need to bring your Student ID card to enter the library. A face mask is required to enter the library.

Please allow yourself at least 15 minutes to complete the device loaner agreement as well as the initial setup of your devices(s).

Bring Your Own Device

Students can use a personally-owned tablet as long as it meets the minimum tablet specifications.
