September 2022 - Fresno State Awarded a $2.9M Grant to Support Future Health Professionals

The California Department of Health Care Access and Information announced $40.8 million in grant awards to 20 organizations that support and encourage students from underrepresented regions and backgrounds to pursue healthcare careers, including Fresno State. 

Fresno State will receive a $2.9 million award over five years, to be issued through the Health Professions Pathways Program.

November 2022: Federal Grant will help Fresno State's Hungriest

A $500,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture is fueling a three-year research study at Fresno State that seeks to determine whether encouraging students to consume more fresh fruit and vegetables will decrease their food insecurity and diet-related chronic disease.Nutrition Grant Story (GV Wire)

September 2022: Kremen School Educator-preparation Programs Awarded new National Accreditation

With the second-largest educator preparation program in the California State University system, Fresno State prepares three out of every four teachers in the San Joaquin Valley.

And now, Fresno State is the first in the California State University system to earn recognition from a new national accrediting body, the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation.

Sept. 2022: Fresno State receives record $54.7M for research in 2021-22

Fresno State received 418 grants or contracts for a total of $54.7 million during the 2021-22 academic year. That’s a 13.4% increase in funding over the previous year, when the total was $48.2 million.2021-2022 Research Story (Fresno State News)

August 2022: Jordan College awarded more than $18 million in state funding
