Our Students
Who are they?
The Smittcamp Family Honors College is home to a small group of exceptional students. President’s Scholars are a highly motivated group of learners who are dedicated to achievement in the classroom and the community.
Where do they come from?
Most President's Scholars are from all throughout California, with a few joining us from other states and even from outside the continental United States. Their cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds vary widely. A diverse group, they not only achieve knowledge through our program, but through their interactions with one another as well.
What are they like?
The Honors College is made up of a diverse, fun, and dynamic group of outgoing and highly motivated individuals. President's Scholars are involved in a variety of campus activities including academic fraternities, Richter Center, Camp Kesem, clubs, student government, Bulldog athletics, and the performing arts.

The Council of President's Scholars
As the student leadership representatives for the Honors College, The Council of President's Scholars (COPS) is responsible for coordinating extracurricular activities and developing opportunities, and helping to develop meaningful community service opportunities.
Representation on the Honors Council
The COPS President serves as a member of the Honors Council and has a voice in the operation of the Honors College.
