Turnitin Clarity at Fresno State
Fresno State added Turnitin Clarity Assignment to the Canvas Course tools. The Turnitin Clarity pilot will be available during the 2026-2027 academic year. Turnitin Clarity is a writing environment designed to provide greater visibility into how students develop their work.
Clarity gives students a dedicated space to draft and submit assignments while providing instructors with insight into the writing process, including how a submission develops over time. Depending on the assignment settings, students may also have access to an AI assistant that offers guidance within instructor-defined parameters.
By making the writing process more visible, Clarity can support meaningful feedback, responsible AI use, and a more complete understanding of student learning. More information about Clarity is provided in the attached document from Turnitin and the video linked below.
