The CSU is a national leader in service-learning offering numerous courses in many disciplines. In 2002 the system created a best practices guide for risk management in service-learning. In 2011, a comprehensive revision of led to the "CSU's Resource Guide for Managing Risk In Service-Learning." The guide was not created to hinder the service-learning work in the CSU but rather to provide resources that allow campuses and faculty members to manage the risk to the university, the community partner, the faculty and the student.
This module contains information about the policies and procedures for service-learning and includes:
- An explanation of the various forms used in service-learning classes.
- Details about how to create a service-learning course and when to use the Footnote 13 option.
